These are the resources that each cPanel account is limited to, these are in place to help prevent a single user from utilizing a significant chunk of the server resources and subsequently affecting everyone else. If you are reaching your limits persistently and do not know why, please open a support ticket and we'll be happy to take a look.
The table below shows the limits for our current generation of plans, older plans on older servers may have different limits due to server differences.
Basic | Standard | Business | Premium | *Reseller Clients | |
CPU | 100% | 100% | 100% | 100% | 100% |
Memory | 512Mb | 768Mb | 1024Mb | 2048Mb | 2048Mb |
Entry Processes | 5 | 10 | 15 | 25 | 50 |
All Processes | 100 | 100 | 100 | 100 | 100 |
I/O | ∞ | ∞ | ∞ | ∞ | 4 MB/s |
Inode | 150,000 | 300,000 | 600,000 | 1,000,000 | 500,000 |
CPU Usage:* CPU = The percentage of cores (100% is one full CPU core) that your account is limited to before throttling occurs, no errors will occur when this limit is reached as your processes are throttled/slowed down rather than stopped.
Memory:* The maximum amount of RAM that your account can use.
Logins:* These are counted as processes that act as inputs such as processes in PHP and MySQL, however, this is not a direct limit on the number of users that can visit your website(s). This will cause errors if reached.
All Processes:* Protection, you can basically ignore this in your panel as it most likely does not apply to you.
I/O Usage:* Maximum Disk Read/Write
All cPanel accounts have an IOPS limit of 1024MB and an Inode limit depending on the package. A File (Inode) Limit is a data structure used to hold information about a file on your hosting account. The number of inodes refers to the number of files and folders you have. This includes everything in your account: emails, files, folders, and anything you store on the server.
